About Dr. Madsen

Dr. Madsen is a licensed clinical psychologist with over 30 years of experience working with a wide variety of mental health conditions and populations. With a strong interest in science and medicine, Dr. Madsen specialized in neuropsychology and behavioral medicine while completing her doctorate at Philadelphia College of Osteopathic Medicine (PCOM). She completed her residency at Lancaster General Hospital's Neuropsychology and Behavioral Medicine Department. Doctoral research and dissertation involved postpartum depression and post-doctoral experience focused on concussion management at UPMC's Sports Medicine Department in Pittsburgh. Dr. Madsen opened her private practice in 2012, specializing in neuropsychological evaluation while carrying a caseload of therapy clients seeking treatment for a variety of clinical concerns. She is now transitioning to concierge medicine, where her expertise and experience in diagnostic evaluations are best utilized. When treating patients, she strives to accurately diagnose and develop treatment plans that facilitate success in achieving clinical goals. Dr. Madsen is originally from Illinois and moved frequently, living on military bases overseas and along the west coast of the United States. She settled in in Central Pennsylvania to attend college and currently lives with her husband and two daughters. Dr. Madsen is a passionate animal lover, considering her dog, two cats, and birds part of the family. She enjoys running, reading, and traveling to discover new cultural experiences. She derives joy from helping others improve their quality of life.
